SOS Grants
2020-2021Immediate cash grants were offered to BIPOC artists struggling to make ends meet during Covid-19 lockdown.
As a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting BIPOC artists, Allies in Arts is committed to dismantling white supremacy and standing up as anti-racists in support of BIPOC communities.
SOS Grants opened over the summer of 2020 and served 471 BIPOC artists before closing in 2021.
It was the largest program we had run at that time, and we are honored to have supported such talented, innovative voices. We continue to center BIPOC artists through our Queer Black Futures program, Transchool courses, Pride mixtapes, mural projects, and more.
We are listening, learning and finding ways to use our privilege, skills and resources to support LGBTQQIA2S and/or womxn-identified BIPOC artists.
